Military Turbine Engine Maintenance

Military precision: together with our partners, we are the total logistics support manager for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) fleet of GE F404 engines fitted to its F/A-18 Hornet aircraft and GE F414 engines fitted to the F/A-18F Super Hornets.

Our turbine engine MRO operation is a one-stop overhaul and repair shop for fast jet gas turbine engines complete with:

  • computer controlled engine and component test capability
  • comprehensive NDT capability
  • balancing and bearing clean roomcapabilities, and
  • engine parts repair and reclamation.

Engineering

With safety as the core priority, our skilled engineering team uses innovative repair design techniques and methodologies to recover damaged components, backed by our knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and materials testing.  Our repair design solutions and reliability programs for turbine engine systems deliver improved cost-effectiveness without compromising quality and safety.

Our fatigue life management experience means we can prepare robust engine lifing assessments to support operators and maintainers.

Reliability, Availability and Maintainability

We utilise a mature reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) program based on condition monitored maintenance principles that have proven in service to produce significantly improved maintenance and performance outcomes. We deliver complete condition monitoring of gas-turbine engines through:

  • spectrometric oil analysis
  • wear debris analysis
  • remote visual inspections
  • comprehensive vibration analysis
  • gas path performance analysis / data logging, and
  • materials testing
